Looking for updates on this project...

Hi. I LOVE the way this looks. I have an 05 Mustang GT and this will be my first Carputer (N00B!). Wanted to see if we could get some more updated pics / info about your project which Im looking to emulate closely. Also Id like to know what other thoughts you have about fabrication for the bezel around the screen you installed. Thanks.

Not tying to pressure you about your install, but you can check out my 06 GT install. Link is in my signature. The LCD mount I used, needed zero modifications or fabrication. Might be easier since you mentioned this is your first install.

If you do decide to fabricate your own you might want to order a replacement from Ford to do your work on. That way you don't have to mess with the stock one until you are ready.

The main reason I fabricated my own was because I used a 8" screen. Mine is the only one I know that uses an 8" in that location while keeping the stock HVAC controls.

8" screen

hey i just got a 2007 mustang GT, i am soon putting in a car pc. I really want an 8 inch screen, like yours. you center stack looks so amazing, the screen and bezel looks professional. Did you fab up the bezel yourself? and what LCD is that? i am defiantly going to do what you did, it looks so good.

I did the fab work myself. The screen is a Lilliput (FA801-TV/C/T).

My work log is here:

You will need to do some modifications to the HVAC controls to get the 8" screen to fit.
