Thanks.. Yes, I have a 12" Kenwood sub run by a kicker amp, polk rears and Infinity Kappas in the front.. Door speakers are run by a 4 channel RF500x.

Sweet Install!
What kind of Nav software/GPS are you using?
I have an '04 Ram that I am thinking about adding some type of on board pc to. I am currently using a Jotto Desk, Notebook, DeLorme BlueLogger, X-Map, and Street Atlas. I would love to have an integrated system so I don't have to lug the notebook and power inverter around, and have the Jotto in my way.

Fanf**kingtastic install!
I am blown away by this install! I have a '03 QC that I am now eyeballing doing this exact install on. I have a XPC mini PC that I would use for the install. The only thing I am not understanding is how the PC mobo is powered. What are they using to power a P4 processor? I have a million questions now...thanks!!!

The PC is powered by a DC-DC power supply.. They are made for in car use and there are numerous options. I use the M2-ATX.

Is there any chance you have the info from the vendor?
Thanks in advance !!!

Vendor? I bought it off ebay.. Someone had made it for their Ram but sold their Ram so then he had no use for it. Like I said in my OP.. I scored.. Got lucky!

you sure did score, but gave me hopes of finding one for my truck, or at least a cheap unmolested one so I can have a spare.
Also gonna be linking this thread to a buddy who is thinking of doing an install in his 3500 ram. Should be more than enough to get the ball rolling for him.
Super clean install. What is that cubby near the bottom of the center dash and on the right side? Is there any way you could get the head unit in there?

That is fold down cup holders.. I'm not sure if a HU could fit or not.. If so, would need some fabrication, obviously.

yea most certainly need some fabrication. Just trying to think of ideas lol.
Mine certainly isn't perfect but its similar to what I did in my truck, just didn't wanna jump into the deep end yet and be without a head unit.
Dash before
Dash After:
Built the little lower dash piece out of fiberglass (first time working with the stuff.) I wouldn't call it a professional item but I am pretty happy with how it came out. I got the heater controls moved to the little cubby spot and then got the HU, extra switches and brake controller in my custom lower dash piece.

A whole head unit won't fit, but I put my audio processor where the maplights were in my Ram!
Check it out!

Im curious about the heat issues too. I know the fins on the heat sink pull air up, with help from the fan. I would think the heat would sit around the processor. Unless your processor fan is diffrent and blows down on the processor rather then away, then maybe it wouldnt be an issue at all.
