Updates:

Replaced 40gig with a 60gig drive.
Installed Opus awhile back, works great!
Installed a Clarion powerd 8" sub in the console, thumps pretty good

Installed a flex USB keyboard in the glove box

Moved IR eye into AC vent

It's hard to find good space in a Jeep!

Still Working On:
New screen, possible digitalww 7" touch
New case, again

I wish it were that simple. When the hoods go out looting cars they leave the hood... and wind up in my neighborhood.

I'm pretty careful with all of it. Radio gets turned down when I go into a parking lot area, if it's night time the screen is off before I get to where I'm going, etc.

It's a risk, but I love having it in the Jeep!

duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude.

You HAVE to get a hardtop and ALARM!
Thats crazy to risk it!!

I had all my stereo gear stolen before and it sucks BAD.

Since then I have installed an alarm, Detachable CD.
and all my speakers/amps/subs (And soon to be carputer) are installed in a HUGE custom box that covers the perimiter of my SUV bed. This sucker has padlocks on the amp/storage compartment, and all my speaks and subs are screwed down with one-way screws. (A Drill In Reverse cant remove them)

This forum Needs a "Vehicle Security" Topic for Sure!
Moderators? Any Chance?

alarm is already there

hard top ruins the reason for a jeep

besides no offense but having a huge enclosure is just ugly and yells for more attention than not doing anything. the most expensive part is in a steel locked drawer that is guaranteed not to be able to be broken into

yeah i could see the hard top argument.....
I wish i had a digi camera so i could show the enclosure, its pretty cool actually, i matched the carpet to the trucks, and its flat so a subwoofer box is actually alot more noticeable than this one.
