Thanks, I just got my mazda yesterday from the dealer. There is no clear area over the air system to attach the LCD, now in the 2008 refresh is a single plastic/leather covered piece.

The Screen is very Clear!

The screen is very clear in the sunlight. I have used Lilliput monitors in the past and non of them were good in the sunlight. I happen to live in Florida were it is usually sunny and my monitor works great.

Flip Up Monitor Video

I finally finished the video on the flip up monitor for Mazda 3. After trying a carputer I finally decided to do away with it and use the Garmin GVN and DVD Player. I can now watch movies, listen to MP3's, Navigate, XM Radio, Ipod connection, watch pics with either a USB or SD card. Here is my video on the Flip Up Monitor for Mazda 3.

2007 Mazda3 RCA concern.

I have a similar setup with my 07 Mazda 3 (6 disc stock HU) with an aftermarket pop-up screen, garmin gvn53 navi, and power acoustic dvd player. My question is regard to wiring the sound.

Currently I have the dvd player's audio rca's inputs hooked up to the HU via a wired FM modulator, however, the Garmin GVN53 navi unit has another set of audio rca inputs which is not hooked up. Currently I am relying only on the little speaker which is included with the Garmin for sound.

Does anyone know how to integrate another set of RCA inputs into the factory HU while keeping the ACI? Would an OEM input switch box (P/N TD1379CFZ) and some type of adapter work?

Thanks for the feedback!

I used one of the pie adapters. http://www.pie.net/pie_store/shopdis...hanger+Present

I allows you to have another input. I put a splitter at the end of it because I needed 2 inputs and didnt want to bother with a FM modulator. I see these around every once and a while on the mazda3forums.com
