I've got the 'premium' Boston accoustics sytem.. Not what I would call 'premium' to be honest, but it's actually not to bad for something from the factory.
I had to pickup the Metra CHTO-01 interface, which ran about $90 after shipping. This will allow me to use the factory amp, and overcome two limitations -- the amp itself is actually turned on by CAN bus signals, and there is no 12v accesory wire easily located. The CHTO-01 gave me both, and is similar to your harness just designed for the premium system. $90 is a little high IMO, but cheaper then investing in a new amplifier -- and the wife won't notice much difference I think.
Gotcha. It sounds like your implementation will be a little easier than mine then.... Good Luck!

6 speakers as well: two small speakers in the dash, and one speaker per door.
Now the Scosche harness only provides four "inputs:" Front-Left, Front-Right, Rear-Left, and Rear-Right... no distinction for tweeters or woofers... there's just no way I'm going to be able to get decent sound without buying "filtered" speakers, is there? (or at least an "easy" way, without dismantling dash and door panels... lol)

You can add an EQ like the one I have. This will split the highs, mids and lows and send them to the correct amplifier. One being the on you installed behind your screen for highs and mids to the OEM speakers.
Maybe we can throw in the Pheonix Gold amp and bass tube this weekend?

Hmm.. interesting, I thought the Grand Cherokee's without the premium audio system only had four speakers. You sure it doesn't say "Boston" on the little nameplate in front of the speakers on the doors? Or - with the factory audio system - do you have sound coming out of the Instrument Panel (dash) speakers? Are there really speakers in the dash, or does it just look like it? Not doubting you, just trying to figure out how to help ya.
Ya know.. I just thought of something. Can you describe the audio path you have setup? Basically, describe the cables and connection path that exists from the computer to the speakers.
I just took a quick look through your thread again, and I don't remember seeing an amplifier for your speakers. If that's the case... then most likely the reason it doesn't sound that great is your missing something to power the speakers. The non-premium system uses the amplifier in the headunit to power the speakesr... and if you don't have one then the speakers are not getting an amplifier signal (which they need to work effeciently)

Thanks for the suggestions guys... it turns out the craptastic audio was caused by a bug in an older version of Centrafuse (RC1). Running RC3 now, but when I upgraded to RC2 the problem cleared right up. =)
As far as the amp situation is concerned, since there is no stock amplifier, I buried a small 4-channel 200w in my dash to drive the stock speakers.

Q: I'm rounding up my materials for my install. So far I have:
* Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop w/2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, XP Pro
* Power Inverter (Going to run the PC from the Power Adapter in the rear (I'm cheating)
* Going to follow your plan for the display (awesome job!!!)
* Verizon PCMCIA card w/extended cable
* LinkSys or Belkin USB b/g WiFi Antenna
* XM kit here from this site (I have the Boston Acoustics system in the Jeep)
Do you see any problems here, it sounds too easy...
Any suggestions would be great. I also have a Toshiba laptop here I can also use.

Looks good... the only things that I can see that might be an issue are a.) how to get the laptop to power on automatically, and b.) perhaps the issue of introducing noise into the audio because of the inverter... but I don't have experience with either of those items, and there are some threads around here that discuss those aspects in an install.
