have you tried to run a dvd through that ide cable yet. mine ran real choppy. i ended up using a usb 2.0 external case and used the guts to run my dvd up front.

I ran it as soon as I finished extending wires on my home PC and it worked just fine, I just ran it again without problems

what did you do to yours?

as promised, pictures of installed headrest monitors

here you may see my wires on the floor - waiting for center armrest disassembly, for which I need some time off to work on

for this kind of install I suggest using this isolation method for wires - cheap, makes things more organized and looks very professional

you can't use a long ide cable. it won't work. i have tried many combinations to get my dvd drive up front. i used a usb 2.0 external case and took the guts out. this will work great.

also, i don't see any s video outputs on your video card. how are you planning to run those headrest monitors?

Bro, go easy on the bold type.

Hurts my eyes.

Just cruise ebay, they've got reams of the external usb cases ther for a couple bucks. That's where I got mine, slipped in a slot load dvd drive, molded it into the dash and it works great.

cheers

Not saying you will, but it's a high probability................

I agree with GreatWhite, I would use a external USB enclouser with its own power supply.

Are these screens VGA? The font is going to look terrible and not even be readable. I learned the hard way, I bought two 9 inch screens and hooked them up, the font was so bad, I replaced them with two 7 inch Lilliputs.... check out my worklog.

The resolution will be ok, until you use them to view the PC..... To test your setup.... simply take a power block from a PC. Follow the pictures below.
