Well I finally finished the dash, except for the damn bubble that appears from having a hell of a time getting the monitor in the casing attached to the dash. I'll get around to fixing that, but for now its fine for me.

Hi Autockr989,

This is a very nice and clean install. Not to much buttons and stuff. I like it. Also the color is nice it doesn't seem to be off with the rest of the controls (AC buttons and stuff). It would be nice if you could also add a picture of how the car looked like before the makeover (i know we could google for the original look but its nicer to see them together ).

Also did you place any USB ports in the front of the car (for easy access). Also it would be nice to see some screens of the pc (thats probaly in the back of the car ).

Great install,

MOnline

Can you also give specs of the PC you used please and what Operating system and things?

Car looks awsome, always a bit fan of the MK5 GTi.

Nice work, also what screen are you using?

Slick install! Not a great fan of those particular aftermarket taillights because they tend to make the car look a bit taller, but they're LED.

I hear ya. I'll be switching them to very soon.

I got them when they first came out. Couldn't get the euro oem ones at that time.

Thanks! 4 port USB hub was placed in my ashtray. I'm not prepared to show what the trunk looks like since it has been a work in progress we'll just say that the wires are exactly hidden yet. I'll update that soon.

This is after the first stage of fabricating the dash. You can see where I attached together the abs insert I cut, to the original dash. The next step was taking the second xenarc shell and marine texing that together. Then had my crafty neighbor bondo the whole thing for me.

PC is located in the trunk. Once I get around to hiding the wires i'll post pics of the disasterous trunk.
