Smile Project Red Alert: 1994 Customized Camaro CarPC v3

Well, the life of a car enthusiast entails that of projects that are "never truly finished." This is v3 of my carPC project -- started as a 10" fully custom made bezel, then turned into a 7" touchscreen custom bezel, and now it's a 8" screen molded into a newer model dash.

For those of you who own or know your Camaro facts, YES this is a 1994 Camaro, YES this is a 1997+ dash. I actually bought and swapped the ENTIRE dash out just for the carPC project. How many people can say they bought an entirely new dash from the driver's door to the passenger's door just for their carPC project?

The internals:
Via 1.0ghz MINI-ITX motherboard
40gb 3.5" hard drive
M2-ATX 160w PSU

Enough talk, let's get some pictures.

Your car is so gorgeous. I like how you put everything in the dash. You have me contemplating a 10.2 in mine soon.

I was tempted to go larger too, quite honestly, but decided it would be too overwhelming in the location I wanted it to be in. Thanks for the compliments though!

Nice car. I like everything about this install except..... The glove box. You put so much hard work into the dash and everything. But it looks like you just threw the ac controls and radio in the glove box. It might just be me. Maybe make a custom bezel for that stuff.

yeah, I entirely agree. The glovebox was done very hastily to make it functional for a car show that I host ever year. This summer I'm going to redo the glovebox so it will be more functional.

Pretty ignorant remark. The guy puts his heart into his project and that's all you can add? You really should just shutup...

I'm not a camaro fan but your car looks awesome and the install compliments it nicely....nice job!
