I'll admit, when I first saw your concept I didn't think it would work.
Congrats on your success and on doing something innovative.
*Thumbs up*

Great job! Making the screen work must have been a "B" considering where it's at. If you like it there, that's what counts. My 17" LCD is embedded in the passenger door panel.

I'd have to say full marks for making work, I'm still dragging my heels over swapping my wheel for a similar one with buttons, so I know what kind of work has gone into that, especially getting it stable because those monitors do not like being taken apart and then moving.
However looking at the video I'm not sure of the practicality (yeah like we do these things for that reason) of it, as using whilst manoeuvring would be very difficult and dangerous and having something that bright at night so close in front would be very distracting and might give you night blindness for a few crucial seconds.

Very nice install, only thing i dont like is that long boot time, I would drive myself into a canal if I had to wait that long. I guess going small with the MoBo has its pros and cons. Love the ineterior, and love the red accents in the digital gauges and steering wheel.

Very Cool! I like the setup, not my style but gotta give some props for good work when I see it. Wiring that lilli must have been a nightmare, lol. Nice engineering skills, I am surprised to find a non conductive mount for your PCB's. Sometimes components get unstable when they are not properly grounded/bonded to each other, especially power supply to motherboard. Love the PICO choice, I built a PICO setup for a client, really awesome board. It's misleading as it is actually quite fast for its size. Had no problems running RR, GPS, VIS, VIDS, ETC with it.
Personally I could care less if I had an airbag either, chances are if you hit something hard enough to pop the airbag you already are in to deep for an airbag to help much.

My friend hit a curb sideways with his Lexus GS (not going that fast either and it was mountain road in a snowstorm) and the airbags went off. I guess the new ones are more sensative. It reminds me of the video with the old lady hitting the guys convertable because he is honking and the airbag goes off!
I still wouldnt replace the airbag, but not my car... Anyways, aren't you going to mold the screen more into the steering wheel? It looks like the regular airbag cover seams are still very visible, or is this just an image artifact?

This has got to be one of the most innovative set-ups i've ever seen. Congratulations on an awesome job. can you post a pic of the wiring to the steering wheel?

I Think I Too Would Swap An Airbag For That Screen
Great Idea
Although, I Reckon Something Like That Would Work Better On A Car Such As A Citroen C4 Because The Middle Of The Wheel Doesn't Turn, Only The Rim Does
