Digital 2k2 Jetta

Hey everyone. I've been gone for quite a well. Make a move out to the west from the east, now in Los Angeles. I've noticed quite a bit of new comers and I'd like to send out a warm welcome! Also, give you the lastest scoop on the Jetta.

very nice ride. About the "black translucent strip" that hides all of your IR Eyes... what is it? Smoked plexi?

I taped off the part I wanted transparent and used 2 coats spray of on glass tint for the rest.

Sure is. I got it like 4 years ago at some beat rice-boy shop for like $5 bucks. I sure as hell would never use it on a window but it worked ok on a small portion of plexi.

Ok, you got the vw, thats with a manual transmision, thats , you got the carpc, again , you've even got the slick dash install, , but why oh why the 2. (115hp was good back when the jetta was a 1800lb car ). Please tell me it was the only jetta they had on the lot

LOL...Thanks for the props though! Actually, yes it was the last Jetta (that wasn't a base GL) on the lot. But that's not why I went with it...I could have ordered one with the turbo. Although I'm not big into speed. But in all fareness the 2.0 is a bit under-rated. It is a fine, rock-solid engine that has worked for years. I got the manual tranmission because I like to feel connected to my car even though I'm not worried about my 1/4 mile slip. Also, not to mention I'm only 21 and my insurance in CA isn't exactly worth the extra "uhmmff"...ESPECIALLY in Los Angeles bumper-2-bumper traffic
