mazda cx-9 car computer

here is my cx-9 install, i make the face plate with bondoglass, because they don't sell the kit for this model, it's the first time i use bondo, but still looks ok.

here is factory

here is the center piece i need to make copy with bondo

here is the screen glue to the bondo

this is the mini amp i use, it's very small, it's like $35 it's 4ch with 300w

here is the screen put together painted and see how small the mini amp is

i had to cut the vga cable and the usb cable so i can bend them due to limited space

here is the cut and bent usb cable and the mini usb hub i use

here is the computer, i made the case and i fit everything in it

this is the reset switch and the relay for the screen, you got to have a reset switch if you run windows

in car test run

this is the ign wire to switch the power supply took me an hour to find it,

push everything in

this is a test fit with out the dvd

and everything put back

very nice! Yours is the 1st CX-9 I've seen. I'm about to do my CX-7 soon.

Very good effort man.

But the screens fitting within your main bezel looks terrible. Fix it! cause you already put in such effort you might as well get it right.

Otherwise very good effort indeed. Im sure over time you will get it 100%

yeh i know, i am kinda use to it now, but if you don't pay attention to it most people didn't notice it, anyway, i am waitting for the dash kit to come out, they are already working on it, should come out this year i hope, then i will raplace it. i am going to hook up the factory sterring button to the computer, i might trim it little bit by then.

Those are awesome cars. I was thinking about getting one last year when the gas price were high and I opted to go with another Accord. I have a X5 at one point and the CX9 gave as good a ride if not better.
