Nice work.
A word of caution, some cities/states have laws about video that is viewable by the driver.
Maybe a good idea to find out what if any apply in your area.

Thanks for the pics

TruckinMP3,

Does that apply to just watching movies? I wondered if they enforced other things like games.

hijinks21,

I didnt end up having to use powerstrip. When I went into display setting(in control panel) and chose TV out for the display the next time it rebooted it filled the screen entirely.

Depends on how the law is written: some indicate a screen is OK for navigation use but not for video in motion (movies/games)

Also an enforcement choice for officers. Check so you know.

I know for Va if it's for Nav or radio functions it's fine...just don't let them catch you watching a movie or playing a game something like a $500 fine.

I have to say, that is one of the best I've ever seen NTSC display text - especially on such a small screen! Good Job.

Did you have to use a custom resolution? I bought a 7" widescreen too.

Nice install!

I've got an Xterra also and have been wondering about the best place to mount a computer.

How did you fit the mini-book PC under the seat?

If I did it all over again I wouldnt use the BookPC again for the Xterra as the space under the seats is too restrictive. I had to hammer the hell out of the bottom of the xterra seat to get it to fit. I would use one of the Cappucino computers if I were to do it again.
