Well I've always been interested in carputers, but never thought I'd start a project until I recently got a xenarc (nontouch) screen off ebay for $30... I figured all right I'ma do this project on a budget. At the moment I've invested about $60... Since I do not have a touchscreen I'll be using about 3 touch-pads throughout the car. One on the right or the center console near the passengers left knee for myself while driving. One somewhere for the passenger, and one on the center armrest rear for my rear seat passengers... At the moment I am using my wife's PINK! Eee pc 901. I'll be upgrading to a Macmini soon when I find one reasonably priced. Well here's some pics of my current install:
