not really. I mean the ps1 is in the trunk, the screen from the outside looks like som cd din caddy.
I am worried about the gps antenna up front that might give it away.. so I'll have to work on making that more stealthy.
But other then that I've made it so my car looks stock on stock from the outside.
And your in brooklyn?..you should come down to coney Island area, I wouldnt mind checking out another carputer setup

Very nice!!! I wish I had the moola for an indash right now...One question though...Do you have an issue with the head unit being covered by the screen?
Post more pics...

yes the screen blocks the HU, but I just put it into aux in mode and i dont really need to look at it.
i do have a remote so the screen blocking the HU is no problem.

Did you fit both of those units in one double din slot or is it bigger? Im going to get that same in dash screen...and if you fit both you HU and the Screen in a double din slot, then I dont have to relocate my HU.
Also, I noticed the screen is cut off on the sides. I have your motherboard on a 5.6" screen, and it fills the whole thing. Now if we can't fill the whole 7" then I guess it wouldn't be worth it to get a 7" screen, unless there was a way to fill the whole screen. What's your experience with this?

actually my car has a din sleeve (single) on the bottom and on top there was cubby hole (blank space). I pulled it out and just slid the screen in their, no din sleeve, fits smoothly.
And yeah the screen does not stretch across. I've thought of Power strip but peoplpe tell me it wont work with an EPIA 800 onboard video. So im not sure right now
I'll keep working on it.
I still have other issues to work out like a little static on the screen. But I believe thats a problem other then the screen itself.

If you could measure just how far (remember the overscan option in our bios) you can get the image to stretch on that screen it would be appreciated..

WOW!! looks very nice. where did you put the DVD player, is it in the trunk? looks like you replaced your factory HU, did you have any problems? some cars have the HU as the brain for some car controls... I am planning in going headless... maybe, I still have to see if it is possible.
Nice screen location, that is exactly what I am hoping for but I have just one DIN slot and I am also planning on putting my computer under the passenger seat.
You should try getting a cheap PCI video card so you can use power strip and use the whole screen.
Looks very cool I am jealous!!

thanks CoolJavy,
first I started with a kenwood HU. And no its very easy to install you just have to rip out a k-wire (diagnositc wire) and one other. Then just use a wiring harness and antenna adapter.
Then I got the dvd for entertainment purposes. Yes its in the trunk.
THEN my friend told me about mini car computers and after a few hundred dollars here I am. =)
I know its overkill HU, dvd, and comp..but oh well.
I want to get a usb tv tuner next.
