Acura CL trunkputer finally done!

Here it is... if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask... it's 95% finished, still a few minor things left to do. Right now it is fully functional.

Thanks... It might not look like it, but it took me an enormous amount of time to complete... And I still have a few things to add/change. There are so many issues when designing a Car Computer it's not even funny. It must have taken me at least 10 times the amount of time I thought it would take me...

But is it all worth it??? You better believe it!!!

one thing i have learned is "your carpc" is never done. You'll always find something to add, or something to change.

Awesome setup you got there. Like very mucho

bad azz setup there...This one rates as one of the top 5 installs here in my opinion...

Can you give some specs for your screen and computer?

Fantasy: My SUB is running at a NORMAL level, it doesn't overpower the other speakers and it is enclosed in a PORTED box... So far haven't had any problems with my HARD DRIVE.

I was really not satisfied with the front dash trim, and for some unknown reason, it was shrinking (I guess the glue dried up, or had a chemical reaction with the vinyl I used)... Anyways, I redid my dash trim today, and here are the pictures:

Thanks a lot... doesn't even come close to the stuff I've seen you do on your website, but we all have to start somewhere!

I seem to have forgotten to give details about the computer and screen, so here goes:

Computer:

Motherboard: ASUS CUSL2-C
CPU: Pentium 3 @ 600 MHz
Memory: 256 Megs
Sound: SoundBlaster Live!
DVD: Liteon BLACK DVD player

LCDs: The one in the rear is a 40X4 BACKLIT LCD display
The one up front is a 7" widescreen GMX TFT that I bought for $315CDN from www.merconnet.com

AMPS: Sony XPLOD 444 AMP controlling my 4 speakers
MEMPHIS 140W controlling my 10" SUB

I'm using a BTC multimedia IR wireless Keyboard with built in mouse-like pointer

I'm also using for primary navigation an ATI RF USB remote control

My car is a 1997 ACURA 3.0CL

That's about it... if you need more info, let me know.
