for a 6 banger the magnaflow and TT will be very LOUD. A good loud but still no where near quiet. I have a few guys running the milltek, remus, GHL on their vr6s. Milltek is very very quiet. Remus is maybe a slight bit louder. GHL is somewhat loud also.
I would personally recomend the Techtronics exhaust. 2.5" stainless steel, it'll be music to your ears. And yes Ive been on vwvortex.com for a while

Yeah I guess I'm just used to how it sounds. I like it though and I can't complain.
Now if I could only get my project started...

Two months ago i didnt know what Bondo is or how you can make something with fiberglass...i was totally a newbie, but i tried. I went to Homedepot and bought necessary supplies: bondo, fiberglass stuff, gloves, brushed ( i forgot to get a respirator- dont do the same mistake!). No i can say its fun to do something with fiberglass; i dont have put gloves anymore ;p
About my project...since i have touchpanel installed ill post some recent pics.
Tutorial, ill give some info later on.

Same story with me about learning it and etc I need to learn more about fiberglass/bondo, because I had a friend help me, but I did a lot of the work myself (More or less, just not the mixing of the Bondo ) Here is something that I sent to Novacaine earlier tonight:
Quote:
Take the LCD apart, and take your console out. To remove: 2 screws in front on right, 1 on left in front. 2 screws (1 on each side) on the back section, down from the little storage thing. There are covers on these, feel down the sides and pop them from the back side. Then, under your shifter boot there are 2 nuts you need to remove. Use a socket or something like that. To get boot out, well you should know this, but you just lift on each side until it comes up. Then once you take the back section out, there is another nut holding the first section in, you can see it looking from the back. use a socket to get it out and you can lift the front section out.
To build the LCD into the console, take the front part of the case for it, and place it on the console cupholder. Then cut a section out, and set it into the console like you want it to be. Then fiberglass/bondo it in I used both, fiberglass for the first layer and Bondo for the rest. I am going to re-Bondo it this xmas break, when I have time. Make sure to make it nice and smooth
And practice with it [It being fiberglass/Bondo] before you work on your console directly so you don't FUBAR anything

UP...Up....up...
Found some time to make a new shots of my setup.
I was concerned about brightness of my screen but when i ran it for the firs time i was glad of getting it...perfect image even in DIRECT sunlight...i was amazed.
Enough of that
Hope you enjoy the pics, and btw: for that dummy cover i have to thank one of mp3car members (dont remember his name, but if you read this...thx for that great idea).
[pics are in the first post]

looks really nice , and thats awesome that u got the mobo behind the lcd...
onlything that looks weird is the dummy cover... it looks really fake (no offence) , at least in the picture.....
if someone was lookin thru the window they would probably notice ur pioneer HU and realize that the dummy one is fake.....
still, other than that it look phat

You are correct about the cover, but that's all i could make from what i had. It's better than exposed 10.4" LCD.
[none of my friends new there is something behind the cover- i didnt inform them i have carputer ]
Anyway...my HU face comes off when i leave the car, and if some low-live-being breaks into your car just to check if the "dummy cover" is fake or not....you've parked on the wrong neighborhood.

It's good to see someone that has gotten the AllBrite LCD working in a complete setup. I have a few questions for you about your setup: - Did you add a touchscreen overlay?
- Did you use to OSD for brightness control, or a potentiometer?
- Did you attach the controller board to the back of the LCD, or elsewhere?
You've got a nice looking setup, congrats.

Yes- usb controller from digitalww and 3M touch panel (the one from digitalww broke )

OSD for now, but if the brightness level will be bothering me at nigh ill get potentiometer

controller is mounted perpendicularly to LCD (doesnt touch lcd), its on the left wall of the dashboard...far away just to put hand and attach the cables
SinnerG, thx for all help and great discovery about LCD, i currently have 2 of them (2nd for spare parts just in case if something goes wrong)...spent some time with 2Dicon controllers 1024E and 1280IE...quite an history.
For that time and money spent i could build 2 screens...lol
