Hello,

here are some pics of my xbox install in my 97 blazer.

Rockford Fosquate 400a4 amp for mids/separates
Blue Thunder PRO300X2 amp for the sub
Infinity Kappa 3way 6 1/2" in the back
Infinity Kappa separarates in front (w/ 6 1'2" woofers)
Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 in the back

How do you find Pyle screens are quality wise?

I have 2 of these screens/tuner packages and they've been working great for over 1year+ now.. they're not super high quality, but i haven't had a problem with either of them yet. One in installed in my blazer, and the other monitor is installed in my house. Again, both have been working great for me so far..

cool thanks for the feedback!

My next step is to 'clean-up' the xbox install.. I want to build some kind of suspension system to put my xbox in. My big worry now is my hard drive failing with normal driving conditions, bumps/vibrations from xbox turned on.. what stuff have you guys to deal with this?

Call me skeptical, but I doubt bumps/vibrations will screw up your hard drive. I remember reading some members' posts about driving around for a year without any problems.

dose your xbox have linux on it. because it should and yeah those controler ports are just reshaped usb sockets so you can have a mouse and keyboard to.

Nope I dont' have linux on the box yet. If the was a GPS voice/control system for linux-xbox then i'd probably look more into this.. i haven't heard of one yet though.

if u can get software for linux then it will work on your xbox.
and dont forget u have USB1.1

Running now for 9 months with the setup and no problems!..
--> Recent Upgrades..
New Version of XBMC installed.. man the latest version is freaking awesome!.. great additions for us Car/Truck users.. There is now scripting avaiable so you can startup your xbox and have it auto-load a playlist w/o any user intervenetion! Very cool.

did you mod your xbox at all? Did you make it a linux machine?

1-Modded ALL THE WAY!!!

.. (x2.2 lite modchip)
2-Linux --nope.. just using XboxMediaCenter for the dashboard..
-> Note: also updgraded the HD to an 80gig to hold all of the media
3-(overkill) 500watt power DC->AC inverter for just the xbox.. everything else is powered from through DC.

I also upgraded my alternator to a hefty 190amp model i got off of ebay a few years ago. The battery i'm using is the stock one that came with the rig..
