looking good! very clean install. you gotta give the details now

1) hardware specs?
2) how'd you mount the XENARC?
3) how'd you cool the glovebox and OPUS? (i saw the fan, but where does air circulate from?)
3) is the DVD IDE or USB? if IDE how'd you extend the data & power cable?

again...looks like a great install!

.........looks good. Very slick, and ideal place for the screen and other hardware.

1) VIA EPIA M10000 (1 GHz C3 CPU - Nehemiah)
Corsair 512MB PC2700 DDR RAM
Seagate 40GB HDD
Panasonic CW-8122-B CDRW/DVD-ROM slimline slot loading drive
SB Audigy 2 using 5.1ch
D-Link USB 2.0 hub
DIY flexible PCI extension
VIA 2 slot PCI riser
XENARC 700 TSV 7" TFT LCD Monitor w/ VGA & USB Touch Screen
ATI Remote Wonder
Keyboard
2) I took it apart and mounted its faceplate to the cars stock DIN
faceplate. Filled it with some liquid plastic, sanded it, painted it. Putted back the touch screen panel and the LCD and done. I didn't use the back plate of the monitor.
3)The fan just moves the air inside that space. I don't have any problems so far but its winter though. We'll see next summer.
4)(3) The DVD is IDE using 36" IDE round shielded cable from CompUSA. No problems. There is nothing special about the power cable. The power comes from OPUS.

It seems like looking at the LCD would be a pain since the viewing angle aren't great. How well can you see it?

Also about the computer in the glove comparment, did you check the temperature of the PC running inside the compartment? That would be my biggest worries, put a few case fan in there and cut the back of the glove compartment.

The viewing angle is not a problem at all. XENARC has a wide viewing angle. I don't see any problems here. I'm worry about the glare produced from the touchscreen panel. I have to figure something out. Maybe windows tinted? I don't know yet.

Yes I'm checking the CPU temperature many times in the BIOS and never gets above 50C with the heater running at full power now. But I always can ad some more fans. No problems so far. And there is no back of the glove compartment at all. Its an open space. Well... small but open.
