Cool 1996 Ford Ranger w/M10000 & Xenarc

I've had my carputer installed for over six months but just yesterday finally got a DC-DC solution working. I'm using the ITPS now and have removed my inverter. Here are the pics:

my Ford Ranger truck. I purchased this truck on eBay last year for $2900

Casetronic 2699R running behind the passenger seat (yeah, it's a little messy). The ITPS is in the little black project box beside the computer. I'm just using it for power right now, I don't use the shutdown controller yet.

Xenarc 700V is installed behind the airbag cover. There never was an airbag in the passenger side because it was optional for this year-model.

Here is the screen visible with the cover removed.

Next on the list to do: GPS

you mean you have to remove the airbag cover to use the monitor? odd... but effective I guess.. If you like it being there I would just cut it out and mold it into that panel...

The airbag cover snaps off very easily. Plus I have the benefit of the screen not being visible so theft is unlikely.

This is to true ...
Mu suggestions (if your open to the) would be setup the enterior of that area to look better and look more molded and factory looking, hinge or fix the panel in such a way it may be opened without having to lay it around (damage factor) and not to mention it would look nice.. if you get inventive you could even mount a small thin KB on the backside of the panel which would bring function to the panel... lots of potential..

when switched off does your ITPS fully cut power to the PC or does it leave some power to the PC for wake on lan, etc?

it fully cuts power off if one of the +12v wires is not connected. this is so you can wire it to the accessory wire of your car, and have the computer be turned all the way off or on depending on the state of the key (ignition key).
