I was considering (sorry if the spelling's wrong) buying a SR20DET engine when a dude crashed his S14a this fall, but I'm pretty satisified with the CA18DET engine... Not any car takes it at the red-lights
I bought mine for probably around 4k (with todays value USD->SEK) but it's now for sale for 5k since the engine has been TOTALLY renovated and I just got it back from the paint-job after some ****** scratched it before the winter... So if anyone wants to buy a 200SX and import it to US or something just let me now
-.- in the US we dont even get the CA18, we get a crappy KA24DE nissan pickup truck engine.... which isnt bad.... but definietly not even close to a CA18 or a SR20

Yeah, I've given that some thoughts... Though I have fully tinted windows and alarm... So I can only hope... Though I've built it so it's easy to take out everytime I park were I can take it with me...

=) HEHE... From what I know there are companies that do that all over the world so there shouldn't be a problem to find an empty box where you live..?

Nissan America thought that
A) Americans like bigger engines versus turbo charged engines
B) They wanted the Turbo Z to stand out more, and a turbo 4 banger would take away a good amount of sales from the Naturally Aspirated Z.
I've heard rumors of the S cars making a comeback, I don't see why not. Nissan already has the perfect RWD platfrom out, just design a lighter body. I'm surprised with the growing interest in turbo'd charged cars that Nissan hasn't already introduced a concept S car.
Anyways, that's a super nice setup, wish I thought of it before spending money on my casetronic case.

Hey hey hey! I used to have an S13 before I sold it. If you think that SR20DET is nice for racing, just look around for people who turbo'd their KA24DE making them into KA24DET. That's one SOLID engine in there, and it has a STRONG body to it. I've seen people bore theirs out to 2.8 or 2.9 with no problems in the head strength. Anyhow, I've seen Stage 2 KA24DETs that push 350+bhp. No joke. One guy took his to Stage 4, and it was well over 600bhp. Of course by that point there was no A/C, and in Los Angeles that's a big no-no during the summer. LOL.
But yeah, as a stock option... who wouldn't want the SR20DET?
I missed my 240sx and the days of drifting (or trying to at least).... Sigh. RIP BUDDY! (Blew the engine at 200k of HARD DRIVING and it had to go.)
As for the case - looks nice. Any pictures of the back? Also, is it loud, or does it stay fairly quiet?

Yeah but I don't think we've got any turbocharged KA24 engines overhere so I'll never know, will I
Anyway we got both CA and SR engines with over 500hp rolling "leagal" on the streets with full interior and so on Think will probably see some pretty fast streetcars on the dragstrip and on some tracks here this summer!
About the N/A AC, I share that probelm Black car, hot hot summer and no AC is no fun! :/
Only found this suckass pic before it was done... But maybe it's better than nothin..?

Ok cool
Yeah we have some ka24's over here but I don't think there are even as many as 10 in this country But that's probably for a reason also
Had the same experience when I saw the first 240SX here except for the right stearing since we have left stearing on all cars (except for the brittish/japanese imported cars)
