how do the media players cope with portrait?
James
I can post in a day or so once I've given my dissertation in, since I'll have my life back then.

As for media players and portrait, the default winamp 5 skin is OK at 480x640, but I like my Winamp skin more

It should be ready for release soon.

I tried an MPEG to see how it looks, and it looks fine. There are always black borders at the top and bottom, but that's due to it being portrait.

Haha, your not the first one to say that.

I'm eventually going to mount the whole PC base unit in the dash, so all that will be visible is the screen. I can't do it right now tho since I'm having cooling problems.

I was going to use a printer cable in one of my projects recently, but i needed more than 25 connections. tracking down which wire is connected to each pin is a real pain in the ***.
Good job.
Believe it it or not, I've made that 25 core LCD cable THREE times, each time a tiny bit shorter, each time the picture getting slightly better.

It all takes time tho, I've lost count of the hours I've put into this... and it's still not
completely finished, but then that's half the fun.
