how'd you wire the door speakers.

I was planning this off a 2 channel amp

each channel to be

---------------

If that makes sense basically 2 series in parellel to give me the 4ohms circuit.
Would that work ?

i see what you mean. this basically works, but there is a better solution.

2 parallel in series.... this has the advantage, that the rest of the speakers is still playing, if one of them is damaged.

be aware of speaker resistances tho. Obviously running speakers in serial/parallel can blow amps if the "ohmage" (not a real word lol) drops below the minimum the amp can handle. For example, if the amp does 2ohms min, and you have 3 x 2ohm speakers in parallel the overall resistance of this = 8/6 = 1.333ohms. Ie, a blown amp

Nice dash work... I would do anything to be able to do work like that. I have no clue how to even start something like that, how did you learn? I have that keyboard too, I wired it up to my dash and it looks so badass at night. Matches MediaCar's default screen.

Guvi, quick question for you....

How is ur screen actually held to the dash, is it glued/screwed etc?
If your screen became faulty, would u have to buy a new one or will the old one just slip out?
I need to figure out how to get my screen secure too.

hey!

@pabs

the screen is glued with the dash. if the screen is damaged i have to change the parts inside. the first screen was damaged (TS doesn´t work) so i bought a new one and changed the parts. thats the only way....

i did very much, but not all. the last finish and the hard works did my car-hifi-dealer!

the DoBo´s are made of 2 wooden plates. one for the speakers to mount an one to lower them. these construction was screwed with the "door lining" (my dictionary says this

... i mean the inside of the door). and the holes were filled with GFK.

did you mean the screen? it is a lilliput

if you mean the dash: i customized the original one. to get plain with the screen, a special glue (kind of plastic; 2-components) was used. this one is "sharpenable" and paintable. the advantage of this is the elasticity. a gfk-install could break...

wow looks great. can't wait to see your trunk done up. i am wanting to do this install but 2 dins dont seems to add to 5 inches and thats how tall the liliput is :'( i may not be able to get my screen where i want.. snifle
