Im not sure what the brand of the inverter is but its not that great... it creates alot of noise which then gets fed back into the amp.. but i guess that how all inverters are..
Does anyone know if sine wave inverters make noise also?

Nice car and install are those Infinity speakers?
If you ground the Inverter or the case of the PC to a common ground that your stereo and amps use the noise should clear. I had the same problem it was anoying.
My 2 cents

I got a question I dont see here...were you able to install the screen where the stock headunit is? or is there no room? I'm lookin for a dash and center console for my mid engine 2 seater sports car, which the cockpit of your car looks to be perfect...

My first screen was a lilliput inside of a indash inclosure form digitalww.com but i wasn't able to use it because there wasn't enough room for me to shift gears.
So i had mastergrade.net build me a custom enclosure that would meld into the dash.
Just to make sure... there was nothing behind where the screen is now.

Yeah those are infinity Kappa 60.5 component speakers.
Right now i have the a 4gauge cable connecting to the chassis.. going to a spliter thingy that gives ground to my amp and my inverter..
The only thing i have not grounded is the computer. Im going to try that next.. if that doesn't work then im going to buy one of those power noise filters...
IF that doesn't work then ill just build mastero's 4.5 powersupply...

just wondering about the lilliput install...
did you cut the dash behind the monitor to route the wires... or is it hidden somehwere? it doesn't look like that there would be a lot of room for the screen letalone the wires.

Yeah, I was wondering that same thing. You didn't cut a hole in your dash did you? I was looking around on Honda's japenese website and they have some kind of navigation unit for it.
http://www.honda.co.jp/auto-lineup/s...ment/navi.html
http://www.honda.co.jp/manual/s2000/...avi/index.html
I just can't read Japanese and I can't find a single picture of it installed in the car. If it's mounted on the dash that could be a pretty durn pimp housing for a monitor. Especially if you were able to get your hands on the mounting brackets for the housing too.

Whoooah, i have not been on here for a while(about a year). To answer your question, YES i had to cut a big hole in the dash not only for the cables to pass but also for the entire inerds of the monitor.
I am currently redoing my carputer. the first upgrade after two years of smooth usage. I will redo the trunk and add some new features. Stay tuned!!

Hey bro I think you carputer is really cool. I always go back to this site just to look at the pictures. I am not good with this kind of work, but I would love to have a monitor and CF frame setup just like yours. So you were in Riverside at the time.. Are you still there? I am fromSan Francisco, but I go there all the time to visit my gf. I don't take my S however, but I sure wouldn't mind checking your setup out.

Hi darkhalo!
I just picked up a new S2000. Starting to think about a carputer in it, although cutting the dash on a week old car scares the sh** out of me. At some point of time, I am hoping to use the JDM Navi bezel and have a fabricator create a Left Hand Drive version.
The question I have here is whether you had to tape off the air duct to the passenger side? If you didn't, was there any loss in efficiency in the passenger vent? I wouldn't want to sacrifice that for the carputer. Thanks!
