2004 Accord - Goose Lightening PC

It's kinda 90% done but I know it will never end. It's completely functional for what I intended it to do but things can always be smaller, faster and better so......

Since the pictures that have been taken on the page, I've gotten a new smaller case that I plan to mount somewhere in the trunk instead of sitting on top of the amps but until I feel like it, it's just gonna sit there. And the HDD has never skipped from the box playing at high volumes.

Asus Pundit Case with 200w PSU
Asus custom Motherboard(came with case)
Celeron 2.0gHz
512mg Ram
Onboard Video
Crappy Aureal PCI sound card(upgrade needed)
60 gig Western Digital HDD
DVD\CDR Burner
A bunch of other stuff(pcmcia slot, 4 in 1 reader, blah blah blah)
Delorme Earthmate USB GPS device
Tiny 4-port USB hub(unpowered) underneath the passenger seat(touch screen, remote sensor and gps connected to it)
Eclipse 8053 Car Stereo with analog in
JL Audio 450/4
JL Audio 250/1
2 10" Infinity Reference 1030w in custom built ported enclosure
Diamond Audio Hex s600a's component speakers in front
Boston Acoustic 6 X 9's in the back(don't recall model)

How do you have your screen mounted? Is it easy to remove and put back on a daily basis? I'm still open to new mounting for the monitor but for now it's in the best spot for me.

For the time being its mounted with double sided tape on top of the radio, but I am looking for a way to rip out the factory radio (keeping the a/c controls) and mounting it flush. I was also exploring mouniting it on top of the dash above those 2 vents but with a housing to make it look oem.

Case

Where were you able to find that case for $40??? Can you send me the site plz. I have an accord too and I can't seem to find any cases for that cheap. I will probably mount my screen in that lid/cd holder under the ac controls. Did you try doing that with your car?

I didn't buy it for 40 bucks. I don't know where that came from. I got it for 120.

Yea that $40 question was for someone else. But why didn't you try installing it in that cd din in the car dash? I am trying to put it there, but need to find a way to install it. Any suggestions.

I have a 2003 accord. I am going to fab some kind of mounting hardware to put it in the cd holder. I want to keep the door on so that it looks stock and nobody will know I have it in there. I plan to start working on it hopefully this weekend. My 7" lilli should arrive this week.

Pdub,

That is exactly what I want to do. I want to be able to keep that door on, but the Xenarc won't fit in there properly, unless I take out the CD holder part. Which I did this weeked and now I am looking to find a way to mod that cd holder. Let me know if you find something useful that the Honda drivers would enjoy

Because I installed the car stereo there.

I bought the mounting hardware that replaces the cd holder and fits a 1-din stereo slot. You could always buy that and find a mount for your screen or even the motorized or manual housing that could fit in there.

Harness

I put my case under the seat... I foud it more convient there. You may have problems putting the screen in the CD case, depending on the size of it, I couldn't get the lilliput in for sht.
