Talking 1995 Mercury T-Racer in-dash install finished!

Ok, it's been a long time in the making, but it's complete (except maybe software tweaks). Here is a pic of my car first.

Pretty ain't it?

Here is my dash complete with Glassed-in screen

Close-up of screen:

I decided to mount my CarPC into my Dash where the passenger-side airbag used to be. Nobody ever rides with me anyway.

Here is a close up pic of my screen on and playing a song:

It's actually purple, but looks a little blue in this pic.

What do you think guys??

My inverter is hidden under the mid console. I have like 4 relays that control it and my cube timer for PC Shutdown. I have a custom pioneer ip-bus audio input that I did myself. That's about it. Oh yeah, a remote starter, for those cold New-Mexican nights...

EDIT: Forgot to post, but this car is now dead. Too bad, it was a good one...

It was a stupid prank. I had honda emblems and all on my car for a while! Then I realized it was stupid and just left the Type R on there. I'll pull it off when I'm ready to paint it.

Nice ! I love the screen, small but cool
This reminds me of one guy who used his Palm PDA in his big server PC to control winamp.
I just thought that it would be a nice idea for those who don't like all those big screens.

Thank you very much, and as for the texture, it's just called texture spray. I picked it up at my local paint supply shop. Couple of bucks. Not quite as good as the original, but it looks decent enough for me.

Nice install! I did the Racer mod on my friends old Tracer too... cut the T off of the emblem haha. It looked totally OEM, ricers probably sat behind him in traffic and wondered where he got it

Yeah, I did do it myself. If you want it, I'll send you source and all. The "Find Song" button doesn't work yet...
