2000 Jeep Cherokee "Jeeputer"

Here is my...for the most part finished 2000 Jeep Cherokee. I installed everything in Feb. and have had very few problems.

I have an athlon xp 2400 on a micro atx mb under the seat. 20gigs, 512mb, on board audio and video. XMPCR, Magellan GPS, D-Link FM Radio, XP Pro, Winamp.... In the dash is a 10.4"...under the back seat is the amp, inverters, and start-up-shutdown controller. In the back is the sub and 2nd battery.

My start-up and shutdown is controlled via a basic stamp and a switch on the side of drivers seat. The switch has three positions. 1. Down - lets the basic stamp control everything based on acc. wire. 2. Middle - completely off. 3. Up - Always on regardless of acc. wire. Normally, the switch is in 1. If I go into a store for a drink or something I flip the switch to 3 and the computer stays on running on the 2nd batter only. Pretty handy...position 2 keeps the oil change people from playing instead of changing my oil! There is a three second delay between switch postions.

Here's a link with some pictures if the attachments don't work.

Very good job. What BOSS amp is that? I have one that looks like that. Mine is 1000Watts though and a lot longer.

Peace,

Rafster

Thank you for the compliments.

The boss amp is a R-735...it's 500x2 into 4ohms. I like it, it's a good amp for the money.

The air ducts are sealed off for now. I plan on redoing the dash bezel this winter, so that I can route the ducts out the side of bezel.

Again...thank you.

The amp and all of that stuff is under the rear seat. None of it can be seen with the seat on there...I just took it off for the picture. Another winter project is to remove the stock seat bracket and build a new one with a pc case built in. That will take care of the mess under the drivers seat. I was thinking of a box like your darkhalo, but I don't want people to see anything...that is because I don't have a trunk. Just the rear cargo area. And I would like to keep it available for cargo. btw darkhalo, that's a very cool set up you've got!

Hey adjones, I like your install. I didn't think a 10.4" screen would fit in the dash. This opens up my choices for screen sizes.

Awesome install. What materials did you use for your dash bezel?
