I use netstumbler. When a network comes in range XP shows a pop-up ballon on the taskbar. The ballon message says a wireless network has been dectected. Then I simple choose the SSID and connect (if it's not encrypted). You many have that service disabled (I forget the name of the service). Check out stumbler.net or netstumbler.org

I have a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. It's a 5.1 channel card. It does not have RCA outs. I Use these: http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...t%5Fid=274-883 (RCA -> Stereo 1/8" Plug)

Yes, it was fairly easy. Just make sure you know how to disassmeble your interior panels correctly.

I'm a member of some online VW forums (vwvortex.com). Many of the members on there have taken apart their cars for other reasons (stereo install, alliminum dash, etc). They were cool enough to post some "how-to's". This was extremely helpful because otherwise it's easy to miss a hidden screw or clip and end up breaking/cracking the plastic interior pieces.

You can also go to a auto store and get a Bentley manual for your car. They usually have illustrated instructions on how to dissassemble almost anything on cars!

Right on. Do you have any pics of your ride/install? I would love to blend in the dvd drive - if could only figure out how. The "faceplate" is like 2mm thick! It also looks tricky on how I would retain the eject button. It doesn't seem like it pops off/on. Suggestions would be great!

Ppgt94, do you have any pictures of your setup as you were installing it? Also, did you just mold all the dash pieces into one big one, or did you fabricate a whole new piece?

No I didn't take any installation pictures. I used the OEM dash.
