I got the button here http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/ele-70.html

but I dunno what you mean by space filler. it you mean what the button is mounted into then its just the normal space filler that came with the car that i drilled a hole in

Anyway, you need to drive that thing onto a Ferry and we need to set up a meet on the Mainland. The Drive-in is supposed to be opening pretty soon (just in time for winter). Maybe in the Spring. I'll probably be done my 'puter then too. We can all download whatever movie is playing at the drive in and play them at the same time.

Keep up the sweet work. I'll bet half your cost has been shipping and duty.

As for taking a WRX, there's a couple of customers of mine at Lordco that could probably keep up...

Cheers,

Kris

I'd totally be up for a meet in the spring. i should have my gps by then too so i will be able to find my way . oh and By mainland do you mean seattle or vancouver? and as for duties yah the screen and the PSU I got raped on but I was able to get the rest fairly cheap from canadian suppliers

Great install tunnel vision!

I have some questions.

Did the meter hood for your HU come with that bracket to hold the HU? Or did you fabricate that yourself?

Do you know of anybody who makes such a lcd bezel for the Xenarc?

Nice car too, any engine mods?

Michael

The gauge pack housing I ordered from subaru came with the bracket for the hu so i didn't have to fabricate any of that myself. As for the bezel you might try asking patrick at www.tmz.com/wrx as he's the one who made mine. He only makes them for lilliputs but he might know of something.

oh and as for engine mods I've only had the car about 2 months and over that 2 months all my extra cash has gone towards this project

I am in the planning stages for my '03 WRX. Did you leave the stock/upgraded sound system (Or did you have it on the car to begin with?) I have the upgraded sound system option (with the sub/amp combo) and am looking for someone that left that in the car and what options they did. I am wanting to leave the stock wiring unchanged so that I can stick the double din Stereo back in at anytime.

Nice video. I like that soft you were using for music and videos. Easy and comfortable to use.

And certainly, boost always guarantees adrenaline rush

That is a very nice install and is very similar to what i am planning very soon.

In fact i have a WRX STi JDM V7, liliput screen, and a ZPC (2.8GHZ P4) that is being used as the base. I also have infomap navigator for sat nav lined up and delta dash.

You not thought of using delta dash with your setup now?

http://www.ecutek.com/products/deltadash/

I have a couple of questions now.

First of the bezel for the lilliput, i take it its just a metal surround that replaces the original one so what have you done about the buttons that are used? Do you not need them and if so why?

How hard is the modifying of the lilliput and is there any steps i really should know about when doing this. Any help here really appreciated.

I already have the subaru pod but noticed on your HU picture that there looks like some extra metal bits that are also fitted onto the metal part of the subaru pod. Is this extra bit part of the casing for the head unit?

And finally a pic of my car which will be fully equiped soon interior wise as well as performance wise.

This is an old photo of the car in japan before it was imported over and since the car has had full tints, rear lexus lights, 18" Prodrive WRC rims on Yoko 225.

Anyhow great install and speak soon buddy.

LCD Screen Bezel

I'm trying to get in contact with the guy from the TMZ website about the WRX bezel with no luck. Anyone know what's going on? How easy is it to install the screen if i have the factory CD player out, the lcd screen apart and ready to put everything together?

thanks!

-matt
