Quite agree, or at least make the height smaller. I'm running 1280 x 1024 and it still went below my screen.

Easy option for screen is to bondo it where it is. Best would be to move it up and replace the display that is there, but I think there too much going on for all that stuff to be moved.

*edit* on second look that's just a head unit isn't it. Maybe you could fabricate the screen there and replace headunit with a standard din one and put it where the screen is

Look great.
Honda make it sick to design the radio bezel like that. The older generation radio bezel make it really seasy to put a screen there. This one you can only put a single DIN when buying an aftermaket radio bezel.
The screen right now is great too but it just a little low.
you need some br tags between the picture.

They make a radio fit kit for your model - you would only have 1 din space though, so you would lose your radio is you cecided to mount your screen in an in-dash housing and put it in the din slot.

Check it out here

I would prefer to leave my radio where it is as it controls my air. The din cd box was the only place I could place that screen at. If I can find a bezel that I can kinda move my screen out of the box that would be neat.

You guys must not be looking hard enough....here is the dash fit kit that would fit directly below the stock radio and hvac controls

I'm sure with some mods, it could be made to fit a 7-incher pretty easily.

Good Luck.

I have that actually, and I am going to attempt to use bond with it. But will also have to modify the side panels of the car to fit the screen.

FYI - I also saw this (link below), it goes below the stock Radio & HVAC controls. It's single DIN, but I'm sure you could mod it to house your LCD and keep it in the same location you have it mounted in now.

It would look pimp and really integrated if you could do it and keep all your factory controls. My opinion is that you shouldn't screw with the factory Radio & HVAC controls. I like the way the stock radio looks - keep the LCD where you have it and just mod the bezel I have linked below to make it look factory.

Lower Dash kit for 2003+ Accord

Good luck.

Where is the bezel link? I bought this kit on ebay couple weeks ago. Now I am looking for a Xenarc casing so I can mod it without ruining the factory warranty. digitalwww sells the Lilliput for $10 or so, but no Xenarc.

unfortunately I don't see anyone just quite yet moving the EXL's OEM LCD anywhere else but where it is, simply because I think that LCD is integrated with the CC circuit board. Now, with the EX models, that LCD is utterly useless.....it only works with the OEM headunit. Now, if you ditch the OEM headunit, then you can ditch the screen......which is what I am doing. However, there is one catch, you can't actually remove the OEM HU, it needs to stay connected to the car. It is integrated with one of the multiplexors in the car for the security system. I think it is ******* retarded on Honda's part, but I'm sure there is a method to thier madness.

I do have that lower cubby hole pocket converter for a single DIN currently in my car....although it is only temporary until I stick my Pioneer DEH-8MP inside of the cubby hole.....stealth mode baby!

BTW, that lower DIN pockey fits pretty well too.

I would totally remove the factory radio mount the LCD in place of it and run everything off an AMP. If there are security issues I am sure they can be bypassed. There is a USB device that will allow you to control your computer volume with your steering wheel controls. If you mount the screen in the lower center console then it will be too low. I own an 02 and wish that my screen was a little higher while I'm driving. You will constantly have to look down more than a foot to view your navigation. This car comes stock with a navigation if you order it. I would look into the molds that are all ready made for this car in the factory. Some of the best cars I've seen are the ones who have used the factory navigation mold. One of the reasons I bought an 02 was because of the difficulty of modding the 03 and up.

no way, it just isn't a 4 hour mold job like on the 6th gens...not hard though.

as for the security in the factory HU, you take the security wire, and just ground it.....
