Yeah, that was the only way to make the system work with the Kenwood unit.
This install was done before the Xenarc single-din screens were available. If I had an opportunity to redo this install, it would include that screen, as it's easier to use and a higher quality picture than the screen of the KVT-910. Finding room for two screens would be the hard part.
