Redoing the entire install, PC and system!
So, after about a year with the old system, I have decided that I wanted to get back into competing in USACi Sound Quality events and see just how far I can make it with the computer in the car as my only source unit. So here is a list of what the computer will be:
Mini-ITX MII12000
Xenarc 8" VGA Touch
512MB ram
200 GB Seagate Barracuda HD
Panasonic Slim slot dvd/cd-rw
EDIT: SoundBlaster Audigy 2 NX Notebook sound card (for the optic ins and outs)
EDIT: M1-ATX power supply
For the stereo:
Focal K2P seperates (will probably be switching to Berylliums once they come out after CES)
2 JL 12w6v2s
Arc Audio 4150 (4-channel) and 2500 (2-channel)
Alpine PXA-H701 & RUX-C701 (basically, a processor and display to go with that processor) - read - THIS IS NOT A HEAD UNIT! THERE IS NO HEAD UNIT IN THIS CAR!
So I will be posting pics as we get stuff done. Here is what we got done this weekend. With finals being this past friday and going through wednesday we were a little distracted. Having finals looming over your head tends to do that...lol

Reason: IT'S NOT AN ALPINE HEAD UNIT!!!! IT'S A PROCESSOR!! hehehe

Looking sweet, but is that an optimum enclosure for 2 subs? I mean, there are no straight walls...

What he said. I've heard that a trapezoid shaped enclosure is the best.

Yep - but the length of a 30-90Hz waveform is such that it's hardly like to be an issue in a box that deep or wide.
Having said that, your box looks like a labour of love - it's a shame that your install won't show that off...
C!

Chaintech Card
I'd go with a better sound card if you are going to compete. I have a chaintech card with optical in/out, it does the job but the sound quality isn't exactly ideal.
