Xenarc USB Power
Ok, now it is just about time to start putting together. For powering the Xenarc, I am going to fabricate a USB power cable, to run from the Opus (located in the back) to the front.
For the USB power cable, I am going to do the following: - Take USB cables from old USB LAN adapters
- Splice cables together to get correct length
- Create a PCB or similar to connect power cable to custom Power USB port
- Connect custom USB power port to Opus 12v & ground
Seems like it will work just fine. Anyone got any inputs?

Yea, the snap onto your console or vents. They are awesome if you don't want to build/mod your dash. I will definately post some pics.
Connected to Xenarc:

Where are you planning on mounting your hardware?? I'm also really interesting in seeing how this clip actually mounts. I have a Trailblazer and I thought about doing something similar, but I'm really trying to keep it prestine.
Also, how are getting sound into the sound system?? Do you have the factory sound system?

I plan on installing either this weekend or next, but I do not have all of my hardware in yet, so it all depends. I will definately post pics of everything as I am working on it.
The only issue I have is mounting the PC somewhere since I decided to go with mATX instead of mini-ITX. I wanted the flexibility and power, but kind of wish i went with the size. Oh well, will see what I can do with this situation.
As far as the sound goes, I have not even cracked my dash panel yet, so I have no idea what I am going to do with sound (I have the factory sound with 6-disc cd, xm, and onstar), but there are two options: 1) use the AUX in 2) buy an amp and wire it to the speakers. I have not worked out the details for either, but will post when ever i do.

I bought my Xenarc from a forum-member here a little while ago - got a good deal, but wish I had the remote. I think they just started selling the Xenarcs with remotes.
Also, I would go with the Aux-in option. Not sure if your system can handle it since you already have Onstar and XM, but you will get the LEAST amount of headache as well as the least amount of work going with aux in. If you go the amp/speaker install route, you will be spending lots of time installing in addition to the $ you will have to shell out for all the new equipment.
You are obviously not going to have bumping sound, but you will have peace of mind. I redid my whole system on my car and it's an F-in nightmare. I'm getting great experience and gaining good knowledge, but its a headache.

I don't care if my Xenarcs ARE literally within arm's reach (no stretching), I want a remote, dammit!
What's the "channel" buttons? Is that just input select? What about the "scan" and "yes/no" buttons? Grr... I better not be missing more than the remote...

1) How are you powering the screen?
2) Is Opus going to be able to take all that computer?
3) Are you using onboard sound and video?
Good start, nice car, GMC heh

1) I am trying to hook it up to my Opus using a USB cable Here
2) I sure hope so, I got the Mobile 35W CPU and am only running a HD, USB GPS, Xenarc off it.
3) currently going to use on-board sound and video, but have not tested it yet.
