78 Camaro Type LT install.

Just finished up the major part of the car pc project. More info can be found at HNet Inc. or if that wont load try this one HNet Inc. (no http redirect). It is under the projects link.

it's cool!

i will throughly have to disagree with your comments about fuel injection being more reliable though....that might have been the case when fuel injection first came around - as with any new technology - it doesn't work as well as the old right off the bat....but currently, I think it's more reliable than carbs.....but that's just me!

I have to agree with Red here.. I'm a big fan of carb'd engines and 'hot rod' V8s, but your thoughts on fuel injection seem to be off. But, it's your site, so I'm not going to argue carbs verse FI.

It looks like your PC is off to a good start. Hopefully you come up witha clean solution for putting a monitor. When I saw the title of what type of car you were putting this in, I was very excited/interested to see what you did with this.

Lastly, I hate to be a critic, but run your text thru a spell checker.

yea I was in haste to get it posted. I will run threw it evntualy. As for the monitor I still have to decide which on to get but I have a few ideas where to mount it. As for the fuel inject vs carb stuff that mostly comes from the fact that I can rebuild the car and fix it if the need would ever come around. Fuel injection can be fixed but most of the cars any more use a computer to controle the fuel injection which meens you need expensive tools to figure out what is going on. Not to mention the fact that my car would probably keep runing if you fired a HERF (not Nerf) device at it.

Don't you run HEI? Or are you running points? What motor is in the Camaro? I had a buddy with that exact Camaro in high school.

I put one of the in the distributer HEI units in there (hope you know what kind I meen). It has the smaller 305 V8 in it for now. I'm working on geting a 350 and decking it out then droping it in. Right now it is half black and half camel (the offical color name) because I'm switching it over to all black.

Thanks nottastocker

I know alot of people don't realy like the 2nd gen camaros but they have always been one of my favorite cars. Was very glad when I found it and it only had 94k miles on it and the guy only wanted 2,000 usd. I knew when I bought it there would be about 1,000 USD put into it to get it looking decent.
