Yeah, it's a shame really. I have a laundry list of things to do, already! Much of it is related to skinning...

Until tomorrow night... here are some 'night pics': The light tubes and the lights around the fan are all running off of accessory voltage that is regulated via a 7812 voltage regulator. I am NOT pulling that power off the PSU, but was surprised that a 1 amp regulator could handle four lights.

They just auctioned a pair of them through Barrett Jackson that went for $60k each. I talked to them about their mods before buying the car. They don't sell the kit - you have to pay them to install it. So add the installation price on each of those so-called kit prices to come up with the REAL price. Then take into account that they're in Canada (I'm in Atlanta) and they want the car for a month to "dial it in". The whole thing would take close to two months to complete.
There's an East-coast firm that is doing a better job of building a TRUE kit that should have similar results at a more reasonable price. I'm planning to pull all of it (the carputer and their mods) together to make this car "noteworthy"... or more so.

Hey man! There's talk about getting together in the "Anyone from Georgia" thread so it's definitely doable! I'm in Alpharetta. There's no real good way to get here from Kennesaw - just the freeways. We Atlanta guys need to pull together! I saw there were some guys getting together in Canton earlier today. I didn't jump in since I'm gonna burn most of tomorrow on the carputer anyway - kinda needed to get SOMETHING done at home this weekend. We've talked about doing a shop day at my office... maybe we should just go for it and not try to include everyone.

Wow, absolutely CLEAN! I love it! Such an easy spot in the dash too for mounting the screen; I need a dash like that. How is the computer tied into place?
