I haven't forgotten you! I'm debugging a machine with the dreaded blue screen of death (fatal exception error) and working on a wedding in my free time, not to mention that faceplate that seems to be in high demand! I should be able to produce something valuable by the end of the week.

Hi Mate,
Excellent install. Kudos to you.. and Good Luck to you fiance... or it the wife? Anyway, mate, I'm new to all of this and was wondering, you've got yourself a pretty fast processor there and a fair amount of items hooked up to your PC. Is everything powered from the Opus that you have? Do you need to make any modfications or special setup to get enough power?
I've gone through all sorts of power calculators and could never get the calculated power below 150Watts. Hope to hear from you sson mate..
BTW, I did vote for your lovely fiance. Hope everything turns out great for her.

It's official as of May 15th, she's a wife. And thanks!

Just about everything IS hooked up to the Opus. If I recall correctly, my wattage calculator readings were at 168 Watts. I read that the calculators were running high, so I rolled the dice and went with the 150 Opus. I did not hook up the neons to the Opus. They are powered from a separate voltage regulator from ACC power. BUT, the monitor, 7-port hub, mobo, DVD-Rom enclosure and all the USB components ARE driven by the Opus. Hope that helps.

It's been a while, so my memory is fuzzy on the details, but I did MAX amperage draw tests of the components that I was planning to use. I then converted amps into watts and my own personal readings were well within the 150W spec of the Opus. Thanks for the vote! And good luck on your system!!!

Mate,
Thanks so much for replying so quickly. I'm now pretty sure that my planned system would work, and I'll do the amperage draw test onf the components to make sure it does. And Congratulations on the wife mate. Very happy for ya. You must be feeling on top of the world now... great computer setup installed in the car, and a great Wife installed in the household!

So much for good times... Sony just did something to their servers and Teresa's score has been DECIMATED!!! PLEASE go back and reset your vote to 10. I've checked and the vote I gave her myself was reset to 4. Her score was at 7.05 this morning. But now it's at 4 and with that score she will not even get considered for the competition. Thanks for your support! Here's the link with all the info, again.
http://www.tnoreen.com
Please post if the score you placed was also reset to 4 and take a few extra minutes to score all the other gals, please, so that I know they're not disregarding your vote for only voting.

Glad things worked out with the server....I went through that site and the majority of the contestants were ridiculous (i.e. - no shot in hell).
Anyway...any chance of you including a wiring diagram on how to get that monsoon amp to turn on when using the carpc instead of the HU? Its the only thing keeping me from buying the components and at this point I'd really like this project to get in the way of life
Thanks!
