You're putting the 350z/G35 Coupe in the same category as the Corvette.. WTF?

There's something fundamentally wrong with comparing the 350z/G35c to a Corvette. For one, the base price of the G35c is $33,150.00. The base price of the Corvette is $44,510.00. Another thing: one has a 400hp V8 on leaf springs, while the other has a 295hp V6 (the new ones). The two cannot be in the same category. And yeh, the G35 sells more because they are cheaper. Its just a matter of examining the statistics

I must agree with 0l33l...

There is no way you can put those two cars in the same category. A vette will demolish the nissan twins. You'll be surprised, people come up with strange comparisons when its to their advantage. I'm sure its a marketing strategy. If sales were everything, then the Toyota Camry is the number one car in america hands down. Thats what they claim. But not all will agree, because some people prefer ride quality over "cushiness." Just like someone going for a corvette over the nissan twins prefers performance over the cheaper cost. The moral of the story is a Vette will eat the Z or the G for lunch....how could you even begin to compare.

Just wanted to update this thread to reflect my changes
Ive scrapped the fiberglass enclosure idea because its lack of metal shielding caused extreme FM radio interference. Ive replaced it with a custom aluminum case housed next to the stock amp in the rear tire well. By moving the computer to this location and shielding it with metal, my radio reception is back. Plus, I get all my trunk space back. Drawback is I cant show it off
