In your experinces, what lenght of cable do I need from the trunk to the headunit going thru the driver side?

I am thinking about 15 feet vga cable, what about for USB? I hear there is some limitation for USB 16 ft or longer.

I am planning to attach a USB hub in front, from there it will be longer so what do you recommand?

pc -> usb extension cable -> usb hub (1ft) -> cable (2ft) to touchpanel and

I got 25ft of VGA to be on the safe side but it does leave you with a lot of slack
I just got a bunch of 15ft and 6ft USB extensions and used them as needed

If you wanted to be more exact pull out a tape measure and roughly get a measure of the distance

I think 15ft should be enough, for VGA there should be no problem.

I am just little worry about the USB as it seems 16ft is the max for USB 2.0. If I were to use a 15ft USB extension cable from PC going into a passive hub, the hub itself have about 1ft of cable, then from the hub to the USB devices is another 2 or 3 ft. So total would be 19 or 20 ft. not sure if that will be a problem.

did you have a hub? Was it powered or not? How long of cable did you use?

WHOA! normally I am the first one to point out how much better foreign cars are than american cars here in the states. But, being that you are not from the US, I feel that I must take offense!

Ideas needed, mostly appriciated

Hello, I just bought a g35x sedan and i want to know if anyone had any ideas for me. what i want to do is put a monitor in my dash but i dont want it below the heat/ac controls i want it above that but also i do not want it to stick out like how the factory navigation monitor is(i do not have navigation), i want an idea of how i could mount a monitor above that but as one whole unit like one big dashboard, for a better idea liek the new 2007 g35 monitor and not jsut flip up or pop up. its hard to explain if you dont get what i am trying to explain and you think you can help me please post or email me goldengloves224@yahoo.com thank you hope to here form some1 soon thank you have a good day
