Thanks, pleased you liked it. Really disapointed no AV switch ( specially with reversing cam), but the screens good.
Changed to Road Runner from Mediacar since these pics, which supports a web cam via TV module. Some Guys use these but the're not as good as a Colour/IR so I'm staying put and hoping I can sort a solution in the future.
Next add-on is likely to be a flip down roof screen for the rear seats, so they can watch movies etc. I'll probably end a "Taxi Driver" if I do that, with everyone crammed in the back and front passenger seat empty !!
What frontend are you using ?

Wizz, I am wiring mine in via the serial port to automate the web cam/camera in showing when reversing. I'll let you know how it goes

Hi Stevie,
My problem is I'm stuck with an AV input so I'd have to go WebCam, Right ?
I like the IR part of my Cam... I've not seen any WebCams with IR, have you?

You can get composite video to USB adapters to use existing ones and IR webcams are available too:

I'm using Centrafuse as a front end. I'm upset too about the AV switch. Everytime I put my car in the reverse I have to manually switch to AV, and believe me, after you've done this a few hundred times it just gets all the fun out of it...

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...=simply+serial
and
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...=simply+serial
(basically the same kind of thing) I'm using the latter with the source code but it's so simple to add extra inputs later.
I'm using the serial input program in the latter to launch FrodoCam set to cover up the 'application' area of Centrafuse, and when I get out of reverse it kills frodocam.

I'm using the reverse lamp circuit to power up the camera at present. So selecting reverse gear is also switching the camera on & off. Is that what you mean ? I'm not too good on theretical or physical circuits.

Another Addition
Hi All,
Just added a Toad 8" RCA Flip-down roof screen to the carpc system. Bit of a PIG to setup, could't get a useful video signal out of my Epia M10K RCA output so I used the S-Video port with a S-VHS to RCA adapter.
Included are a few Pics of the results...hope you like them

Anyone for an Armrest ?
Just while I'm still in "upload mode"
How about an Add-on central Armrest for the 'Cus.
Very handy for keeping carpc "bits" in, GPRS phones, bluetooth adapters, charging leads etc.
