There aren't any frontend's available for the Mac as far as I know, although there are a couple in development (come on hybrid, release iMeedia!). When the front ends do come however, the powermate will be doing it's thang still, as it has the ability to take custom settings for custom apps

What did you do about powering the mini?Do you just run an invertor and shut it down when you park it for the night?
Currently, yes, however I have a Carnetix CNX-P1900 winging it's way to me.

How do you like the Tru's? Heard good things about the re's too.
I love my setup hardware wise, the amps are awesome, and kick out waaaay more than their rated figures. Pretty looking too, and fit in 100% with my look, which was pretty much pure coincidence

The R.E's are sick, and can handle 3000w - but are still extremely good handling subs, great SQ.

I bet that dakota digital setup cost you a pretty penny too.I've seen the prices for a standard dash setup before

.
Actually I thought their setup was really reasonablly priced considering the impact that it has. Anyone that see's it in the flesh is just dumbfounded at how cool it looks.

How does it work for functionality to use the powermate for audio?
The Powermate has several 'functions' - Click, Rotate Right, Rotate Left, Click+Rotate Right, Click+Rotate left etc. For iTunes for instance, I have click as pause/play, rotate right increases the volume, rotate left decreases the volume, and click+rotate skips to the previous/next track. As I said, the controls are programmable on a per-program basis, so I have different settings depending on what program i'm using
