1993 VW Vento (Jetta III) - HAL9000:b

Well, my project. I've tried to make it look as stock as possible.
I use smart5.1 to get 4 channel surround, with external analog amp.

Carputer:
M10000
Opus 90w
60gb 2.5" hdd
512 mb ram
Panasonic slim slot in dvd-reader
Globalsat GPS reciever

Other:
Xenarc 700tsv
buttons below screen via parallellport (mute and surround/2xstereo)
wheel via usb (volume up/down)
webcam as rearcam (brand unknown, think is a logitech)

Software:
Windows XP
Girder
Frodoplayer
MapMonkey

Project report (in swedish) with much photos --> report (link works now, preferably use "save target as")

The car is not a 1992.........

1995 (model year) until 1999.
i had the same one when i was 16.


unless in sweden they have released the same bodystyle about 3 years earlier.. i am curious.

the install looks awesome! Perfect fit and finnish and positioning

It was released in euro and area before NA, as almost all VW's are.
Very clean install, I am goign to have to show that to a couple mk3 friends.

The air regulators, did you do that yourself, or did you take it from an American car?
I drive a Vento to, and I got no idea how i'm going to implement my screen in this car...
