Post Audi A6 1999 Carputer Install

They say “a picture is worth a 1k words” so...

The pc is installed in the glove box (had to cut it at the back). Travla C134, VIA EPIA M10K, DVD, 40GB HDD and 512MB of low profile mem. A complete hardware list with “where from” and “how much” will follow.

The monitor, a Lilliput with touch kit, is mounted with a vent-mount.

The vent-mount it self!

The relay switch and the pc power push button are both located in the drivers log holder. The DC/DC Converter for EPIA ITX is located behind console.

I really love the interior of the A6.
Add a carpc and it's perfect.

Great install!

Great install Xplorer ! Looks great! I think the high up installed TFT it's great for navigating the front end's menu, DVD playback for the rear passagers and in the line of view of the driver for less distraction from the road.

Waiting for more pics of the car, any future plans?
