I'm so jealous of the 8" fit. What did you use to make the frame?

all i did for the frame was bend the big metal tabs on the lilliput and screwed them into the side of the dash piece, the bezel is just the lilliput bezel trimmed down and stuck on there with double sided tape, i sprayed it silver for now, but im working on finding some kind of brushed aluminum to match the rest of the casing. heres a picture from the back of the screen, kinda sloppy but it works

sick dude. you could try using aluminium paint (either alloy wheele paint or the real lauminium roof paint) and then use some various grades of grit paper in the direction you want the grain. keep testing different grits and keep spraying over. Or you can get some worktop veneer that is brushed alloy. That might work.
