I'm almost positive I know this guy. Don't worry, it is getting done. He's just been busy. I'm anxious too cause I drive the same (nearly) car.

Edit: Maybe not, he seems to have a different part list.

Will this be 3 TLers with carputers?

ok got it, the computer is under the passager seat, i moved up the seat so you guys could see it, but when the seat is completely back you cant see it all.

I have to redo the bezel so if it doesnt look up to par thats only because i didnt let the bondo cure long enough (i got impatient) so i'll be redoing it soon..also when i get a chance i'll put more pictures up

Looking good. How is the second gen treating you? Dead tranny yet?

I'm guessing you didn't have the factory NAV installed? Wasn't it an option for that gen?

What about some pictures of the HU/trunk?

Do the TL's have bad trans? I totally wouldn’t have expected that...

The second generation does, first/third(current) are fine. I believe there is a problem in the design where not enough fluid gets into the 3rd gear? I know they die, but not entirely sure on why.

The install is looking good though. I'm a bit envious

Nice install

It's nice to see TL owners on this forum. I'm currently researching a Car PC, but every time I see a TL in the forum it makes me want to step up the process. Can you show pictures of the HU in the glove box? How was it mounted in there? Did you remove the factory speakers? I had read somewhere that the factory speakers were 1 ohm and not compatible with aftermarket HU.

The transmission of 2nd gen TL do have a high failure rate. They make no secret about that. The support for Acura is second to none. Mine went out and the replaced it free of charge, including the rental. I'm not even the original owner--I bought mine at the auction. I guess there was a class action lawsuit that extended the warranty to 7 years and 70k miles. Don't hesitate buying a 2nd gen TL!!!!

sup,

nice install. I was going to put my screen where you put yours but I opted on converting the dash into the navi dash and use the lilliput I am happy with my results. I am thinking about using a real pc to power the system vs a laptop. Which power supply or invertor are you using? I actually have a dell gx60 which looks just like the case you have under your front seat which I want to use. Lemme know!

The 99 TL's don't have the problem. I have a 1999 TL. Rejoice.
