i dont have any corvette logo stuff yet, too busy doing other things. Centrafuse has been great for me, i'm very happy with it, though i havent played with the new version that much yet. as far as finding a fabricator, contact sickvette from this forum. he is a pro installer and has a vette. he does a lot of stuff for corvette people and has installed a few computers as well.
if you go in the audio forum at www.corvetteforum.com i also wrote up a c5 audio faq with instructions on how to do it yourself as well as anything else you'd need to know about your c5 audio system.

Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead (although I'm sure you don't mind Scott ) but I had a ? for ya.
Not sure if it was thoroughly explained but I just wanted to get your input on how you like the non-vga touchscreen. I've always been reluctant but if the text is clear I wouldn't mind saving the money. I don't really care about the high resolutions, I just want it to appear crisp. I am curious about your input on the product since it seems you have seen different setups. Thanks a bunch!

thanks for the bump :-) oh and great cars! i have a friend...well more like a co-worker... kind of... that has an r34 skyline. he was out drift consultant when i was working on ff3 :-)

Hi Scott,
I don't have really understood what you done...
Where is the rest of the Pioneer unit? I mean DVD player, flip out screen etc...
Is the faceplate just a spare part you bought (if yes , where?) or you have bought the entire pioneer unit?
Have you got some pics of the faceplate hack?

there is no pioneer unit, just the detachable face plate. i picked it up off of ebay and the drilled holes through the back of it and added little extension 'rods' to the face plate's buttons. these rods extended to the back of the faceplate and would act as the connection from the button to the micro switch, from there i glued the micro switches to the back. now i had a bunch of switches that i could hook up to the ipac2 board. does that make it a little clearer?

And how much would one charge if I find the exact same faceplate?

lol... i think i got mine for $60 or $80 it wasnt cheap, but at the time i wanted to have some tactile buttons and make it look stock, so it was worth it to me. With my new setup that i'm currently working on, it may not allow me to keep that faceplate so i could probably sell it to someone, i just have to tighten it up some, i used hot glue to glue it in but i'm not sure how it'll hold up in the summer. i may have to redo it if i decide on selling it.
