I have it setup on a relay so that way power from the reverse light comes on it allows 12v to the rear cam and then the xenarc screen auto switches to av2 on dection which it does when the rear cam get power. Does that make sense?

The other av1 will not auto switch on power up. So what you could do is get a video switcher for av2 and switch between video inputs for that.
MAKE SENSE?

I've been thinking about a backup camera as well. Since the only time the camera will be active is when you're backing up (with backup lights on), will the infrared feature ever be used?

I'm sure you could wire a simple button or switch to turn on the camera whenever you want.

I used the xenarc headrest shroud for the screen and it almost fits in the double din hole of the mustang. I got out my exacto knife and cut out the edges just a bit. I didn't care about doing this becuase I am molding it in later anyway. I also found that ford sells the plastic paint for the interior.
NEXT UP
---------
1) Molding the screen to the console as well as adding the dvd drive and buttons installing the volume knobs - Plans are all drawn up just got to find the right time to do it and buy some parts.
2) In order of importance; - Slot DVD Drive ( with mold )
- JL Audio Front Speakers
- JL Audio Rear Speakers
- Wireless Internet - Cingular + 24.99 Media.NET + bluetooth
- Front and Ground cam for recording videos(separate from rear cam)
- Clean up some wiring when I do the dash

Check that picture out you will see that next to my FM antenna is a little box. It is the usb gps receiver which has since been changed to the bu-353. Search for that and you will find some good stuf about it.

Nice and very clever install. I like what you did with the rear view camera, I might go along that way too, but with a feature that will allow me to turn it on without me having to back up. Is the 12V going to the camera regulated? Also I did not see the location of the rear view camera, where did you place it?
How do you power your xenarc lcd, is the power coming from the OPUS power supply.
I would have thought that you would run into power problems with all the things you have running off the OPUS for only 150W.

Didn't have any power issues which is good. I did power my usb hub off a OPUS POL set in 5v mode. The camera was a ebay cheapy so I don't even care its powered right off the 12 volt reverse light no issues yet. The xenarc was powered off my opus directly but later I decided since the cable for power would have to run all the way to the back I figured this just added noise so I got another Opus POL set in 12v mode which powers it just fine no issues. From seeing all these fab'd dash install I decided to move my install to the front of the car by getting a double din holder and mounting my screen to the back of that all I can say is it came out great pictures comming on that.

Thats soo awesome! What would be great would be if you could create like a step by step procedure on how to do it. I would really appreciate the information from you install and im sure many others would as well. If it is not too much, a detailed procedure on how to hookup, connect and power everything you installed. Thanks a ton!
