One question: it looks like the installed flip-out screen isn't flat with the dash. Is this true? Did you have to cut around the dash a bit?

That is correct. It sticks out about 1/2-3/4 of an inch in front of the dash. And in my car I had to cut a tiny bit to make it fit. It was just a tiny bit to wide.

I understand how the 2 video positions can be set in xml / ini files etc .... to get the proper placement, but I just was wondering how the touchscreen software works.
Do you have to run 2 different TS --> mouse apps ???
can you elaborate on this .... I'm sure it's simple, but I'm curious..

Thanks
Don

The TS driver/software will allow for multiple TS's. You just have to set up the orientation, and select which one is TS1 and TS2. It's very easy!

How's the 9855 working for you? Is it easy to see the screen text in the daytime? Any hitches with it?

I like it. The screen is very visable except when the sun is setting, and directly shining on it. THen it can be a bit tough to read. The iTouch or whatever it's called takes a bit of time to get used to, but after you do it's pretty simple.

LOL, they are nice. I might be buying the 992's in the future.

On another note. What part number was the Nav Gauge Pod, and you said you bought it for $120?

I recently bought the gauge pack housing here, for $60 + shipping. The part number is H0010SA950ML. If you give the part number to your local subaru dealership, they can also order it for you.
