Now about 95% done. Put the boards on trays and took buttons off screen.

about the SRS light, it comes on if
A. you pulled the fuse for the airbags
B. voltage drops and is insufficient for your system (probably the case)
C........legit SRS failure....or circuit issues...etc

I had B happen because my alternator went. My light would go on and off at random. I replaced the alternator the other day, it hasnt gone on yet (it was going on daily as i'd accelerate).

I have not had the light come on until about a month ago. I notice that when people touch the side of my door then it comes on. I will check when I am accelerating cuase maybe that is when its going on. I hope I don't have to replace the alternator. Thanks a lot for the info. Have not had any other issues though.

I'm very curious about your keeping the stock head unit.

I have an 01 EX that had the same radio as yours. I ended up buying a slightly different Honda Double DIN head unit to accomodate a CD changer interface port so I could hook up my iPod. Your radio (and my old one) don't have a CD changer port because they have a CD changer integrated. Guess that's why you're using the tape adapter.

In planning my install I'm trying to not lose the factory radio. Mainly for AM radio. Also, I like the nice clean look of the factory head units and the smooth controls.

For your system operation I guess you only need volume control and you just leave the head unit select to Tape? I'd like to use the AM radio but would have no way to control it other than volume and clicking through the preset stations. That would be OK until a battery disconnect lost the presets. Then it would be necessary to open the dash again to reprogram.

I have lost capabilities of my radio. If you want the radio then you can get a radio that connects to the PC. I am eventually going to put a new unit in the same place and relocate the faceplate somewhere accessible. For right now I just gave up radio capabilities.
