2004 Ford F350 CarPC
Hey guys, just finished our Ford F350 carpc project, let me know what you think, all pics are included in my webpage...
Warning there are lot's of pics... so if you are a modem user please think twice
Pics include many installation procedures...
So here is the setup:
Car: 2004 Ford F350 Diesel
Via Epia M12000 1.2 Ghz
512 PC 3200 Ram
60 Gb 2.5' Hdd Samsung (9000 mp3s so far....)
BU 303 GPS (iGuidance 2.0)
Opus 120 W power supply
Pioneer 600W amp
BackUp camera
Xenarc TSV700
Slim drive slot load DVD
Win XP Professional
Centrafuse 1.4 (brush metal skin)
Backup camera turns on automatically when car backs up (thru relay driven from back lights) . Or when driving with a button on armrest. Installation includes extra power button (in case we dont wanna turn pc on while driving) and reset button.
Here is the link:
Ford F350XP
This is my third project after a mitsubishi eclipse 3G and a BMW 530.. once you start, you just can't stop!
Thanks mp3car for all answers

Got it! Nice install. I'm thinking it was either my computer yesterday, or it was down momentarily.
Peace,
Rafster

Pretty nice.
It would be 100% better if you glassed the screen in though.

Good to see another F350, I have very close to the same specs in my truck. I like using the center console for the PC, did the same thing in my Dakota. I almost swithed out my bench seat for seperate seats and a console, but did something else instead. Since you don't have a HU this might not matter but the ac controls can be moved the the cup holder opening with very little trimming to the dash I did this and was able to stack my screen, slim slotload drive and aftermarket HU down the center. Those cup holders are never big or strong enough anyways. Great trucks! Hey! Change the intake and exhaust, then add a chip. It will smoke the tires and chirp 2nd and 3rd gear!

thanks guys... i will try to post a simple cam diagram soon.
Bridger: what kind of aftermarket chip do you recommend? my friend was telling me about some crazy number + 130 hp with a chip upgrade for around 600 bucks! You think this is possible? I will call him to find out the name of the kit and repost..

I have a four position chip(stock, +75hp, +100hp, +140hp) from TS Performance
The chip works best if the exhaust and intake are changed, so they should be done before or at the same time. Also the the turbo will stall/flutter if it ias not changed, causing harmful vibration. This is what I used.
CAI from AFE
Turboback 4" ss exhaust from summit racing
WickedWheel turbo compressor wheel from dieselsite.com
I also added pillar mount gauges.
