Pretty cool dashboard modification. I’m also thinking similar sort of thing in My 2006 Audi A3. Could you please give me some advise on tools I need to do that and the list of Bondo/fibreglass products were used?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Tool: Hands, spreader, old board, bondo, Sandpaper, dash piece, lcd housing.

Process:
The process of making everything is not that hard, just time consuming.
Basically for the lcd, I removed the old HU and the climate control and cut our the extra material not needed. Then I opened up the LCD and removed the front casing and placed it in the center of the console.

I used fiberglass reinforced bondo to attach the lcd housing to the console piece. sanded it down, added more bonod, more sanding, more bondo, more sanding.

Then I put on regular bondo sanded it down added another layer and sanded, another layer more sanding. Repeated until smooth surface or until your hands fall off, which one ever comes first.

What would you like to know? I love my A4! I have an A4 1.9 TDI. My technical English isn't good, but I'll try. A common problem with the A4 type B5 is the arms which carry the car. I don't know if someone understands me and can give a better English explenation on this problem. Besides that I am not aware of any big common problems. I am very satisfied with my car! My car drove 294.000km already and I'm not planning getting rid off it yet!
