I've had this done for awhile, but never got around to posting pics. I repainted the dash, added bluetooth, phoco with RR integration, iG3, and began using standby instead of hibernate. I also reubstalled xp and made a few background program changes here and there to make things run a little smoother. And now the pics:

donde,
Beautiful truck...you obviously have style. I need help with my "04" f250. Pleeeeeeeze tell me about your sub box. I have been trying to build a box like yours for about 4 months now with alot of frustration. What are the dimensions of your box, if you dont mind me asking. I do not have a big budget to have one custom built but i do have endless supply of mdf & table saws (i.e. at work). I do hope this post finds you and you are kind enough to let me know the specs.
Thank you

Thanks for the compliments. I can't tell you the dimensions of the box as the plans are long gone and I am currently a thousand mile away from the truck and won't be going back soon. I can tell you that I did have to move the seat forward about an inch and up about 3/4" by redrilling the mounting brackets and using spacers. You will still have to use grills, otherwise the subs will rub the seat back as they move. I hope this helps.

Oh, and I also had to cut the "bump" that covers the back vents off of the piece of cloth that covers the back wall. This lets the box move back more, and you can't see the cut because it's covered by the box.

donde,
Thank you for your reply, i did not even consider moving the seat. That sounds like a possible solution to my problem. Did you use special type of spacer or simple ones from the hardware store?
Thank you again, your reply opened up a new relm of possibilites for me.

I just made the spacers out of pipe. I can't remember what size, but it's not hard to determine. Glad I could help

FM 2351 is a little far away from me, I don't get out that way much.

No. I can't do it now anyway, but more importantly the fun is doing it yourself.

Do you know anywhere I can get a new Dash?

My front dash panel on my 2000 F250 is broken. I need to replace the entire part that holds the radio and vents. No luck so far with junk yards or E-bay

I got mine off of ebay, and other dash parts from a junkyard. You could try ordering the part from a Ford dealership, but you're going to pay handsomely for it.

Were you able to replicate the original texture of the bezel, if so any tips? Thanks for the inspiration to do something similar on my superduty.

I would love to see pictures of the whole construction process. I'm planning on installing carputers into the fleet vehicles with the company i work for. I've sold them on the idea and I figure it'll give me good practice to build my own carputer in my truck.

I couldn't find any way to reliably duplicate the "leather" texture on the dash, so I filled in all of that with primer and textured it to match some of the other plastic pieces that are just uniformly rough all over. None of the surrounding dash pieces were of the same original texture so it looks just fine.

I'd definitely try building your own before making production ones that other people will be using. As for the pictures, I'll look for some but there are lots of construction threads on here that should also be helpful.
